Community Manager & Social Specialist

The role of social in the age of AI is going through a period of radical transformation. We’re looking for a candidate who can embrace that change with optimism, expertise and energy to deliver bold and industry-shaking output. 

This role will support Super Proper’s social team with real-time engagement and creative ideation for an automotive client. You’ll work alongside a 20-person digital studio - design, video, photography, motion graphics, editing and more. You thrive in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment and are excited to deliver cutting edge ideas and social engagement tactics that connect our client to the right communities, in the right tone. 

You embrace non-traditional ways of working and are comfortable leveraging the creative AI tools in market. Importantly, you are car obsessed and deeply connected to/on the pulse of the right automotive tastemaker communities and KOL’s on social. 

What you’ll do

  • Planning and Ideation: 
      Stay on top of industry trends, algorithm updates and new social media features. Proactively recommend innovative approaches to enhance our clients' social presenceContribute to and implement comprehensive social media strategies tailored to each client's objectives, target audience, and industry landscapeCreate engaging content calendars and manage day-to-day execution across multiple social platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platformsCollaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate social media initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Community Management + Writing:
      Daily monitoring of social media channels for trends, insights, and conversations relevant to our clients' brands, leveraging opportunities for real-time engagement and creative momentsLook for opportunities to build the brand’s community and social relationships online by mapping the right group of VIPs and engaging appropriatelyReal-time responding and/or escalation of consumer engagement on client social handles. Work in lock-step with crisis teams and/or customer management as appropriate
  • Reporting:  
      Analyze performance metrics and work with teams to generate reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize campaign effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

What you bring

  • Deep knowledge of the automotive conversation on social (handles, KOLs, brands and trending topics)
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media management, preferably within an agency or digital marketing environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for turning ideas into engaging content that drives results.
  • Excellent writing with a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-starter mentality and zero ego creative: you’re proactively chasing the next brief, jump into projects to improve the output, and you understand our route to fame is through the team.
  • Fluency in and/or demonstrable interest in using the latest industry tools for digital design and craft; Adobe suite, Figma, Premiere Pro, GenAI incl. Open AI & Gemini, Midjourney and more.
  • Have a proven eye for thumb-stopping visuals and care for what’s being crafted in the online world. Trends are changing every day: you’re already on them and figuring out what’s next.
  • Data curiosity: you understand that in a world of algorithms our feedback loop only makes the creative effort stronger.
