Content Producer, Social & Studio

The future of content production? It's Super Proper.

We're looking for a Content Producer who's the energetic force behind every shoot, every idea, and every piece of content that leaves our studio. You're on top of what's hitting feeds and the For You Page, and you instinctively know how to make it happen — the shoot technique, the lighting trick, the editing workflow that brings trends to life.

This is a role for someone who bridges ideas and execution. You understand what it takes to get concepts off the page and onto screens. You know every creative in our studio, what they're great at, and how to weave their skills together to produce thumb-stopping work - whether it's lo-fi social content shot on an iPhone or a scaled production with crews and talent.

Super Proper is a multi-disciplinary advertising studio uniting creative, insight, and performance experts under one roof. Launched in November 2024, we're already working with Audi, Kicking Horse Coffee, Rexall, Johnson & Johnson, Planet Fitness, FanDuel, UFC & WWE and more across US and Canadian markets. You'll work with a 30+ person strong team of designers, video editors, motion artists, photographers, and strategists who all rely on you to make production happen seamlessly.

You're organized, meticulous, and always three steps ahead. You prep props, manage schedules, lock down talent, and keep everything moving. You're building a black book of vendors, creators, and makers across Toronto who you can fire up at short notice to bring great ideas to life. You're the engine of our operation.

What you'll do

  • Own the social production pipeline: take concepts and briefs and turn them into shoots — managing everything from location scouting and talent booking to shot lists, lighting setups, and post-production handoff.
  • Stay on top of visual trends: monitor what's working across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You know the shooting techniques, transitions, effects, and formats that are breaking through, and you know how to recreate (or remix) them for our clients.
  • Coordinate in-house and external productions: manage both lo-fi studio shoots using our in-house team (70-80% of the time) and scaled productions with creators, crews, freelancers, and specialized talent (20-30% of the time).
  • Learn the studio inside-out: understand what every creative in our studio does best — who's the fastest editor, who nails motion graphics, who can shoot beautiful product work, who's great on camera. You become the connective tissue that brings the right people together for each project.
  • Manage props, wardrobe, and production design: source, organize, and prep everything needed for shoots. You keep a running inventory of what we have in-house and know where to find what we don't.
  • Build and maintain your black book: develop relationships with vendors, talent, creators, stylists, and production partners across Toronto. You know who to call when you need a specific look, skill, or resource on short notice.
  • Keep production organized and on schedule: manage timelines, shot lists, call sheets, and deliverable trackers. You're meticulous about preparation because you know what breaks when details are missed.
  • Problem-solve in real time: shoots don't always go as planned. You adapt on the fly, find solutions fast, and keep momentum going when challenges arise.
  • Scale production up or down: know how to produce efficiently — shooting multiple pieces of content in a single session, repurposing setups across brands, and finding ways to do more with less without sacrificing quality.
  • Collaborate across the studio: work closely with art directors, social strategists, performance teams, and account managers to translate briefs into executable production plans.

What you bring

  • 1-2 years of production experience in an agency studio, production company, or content creation environment. Personal creative projects, YouTube channels, or freelance creator work also count if you can demonstrate production skills and results.
  • Visual trend fluency: you're already on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube every day. You know what's trending, how it's shot, and how to reverse-engineer production techniques by watching content.
  • Production fundamentals: understanding of lighting (natural, ring lights, LED panels), audio capture (lav mics, shotgun mics), camera settings (frame rates, shutter speed, ISO), and basic grip equipment.
  • Organizational excellence: you live in spreadsheets, shot lists, and production schedules. You're meticulous about call times, talent releases, prop lists, and deliverable tracking.
  • Resourcefulness and hustle: you know how to find what you need — whether it's sourcing a specific prop on short notice, finding a location for free, or convincing a creator to jump on a shoot last-minute.
  • Growing black book: you're building (or already have) a network of freelance creators, videographers, photographers, stylists, and vendors across Toronto. You know who's good and who's reliable.
  • People skills: comfortable working with talent, directing non-actors, briefing freelancers, and managing personalities on set. You create a vibe where people do their best work.
  • Scrappy production mindset: you know how to make great content on any budget. You're as comfortable shooting a lo-fi TikTok on an iPhone as you are coordinating a bigger scaled production.
  • Curiosity about the studio team: you want to learn what everyone does and how they work. You're building a mental map of who to tap for which project.
  • Energy and momentum: you bring positive, proactive energy to every shoot. You're the person people want on set because you make production feel exciting, not stressful.
